Default Dyno question

I will probably dyno my 2001 Tiburon after I install a SR 4-2-1 header. By then I will have KORE CAI, SR 4-2-1, custom made 2.5" exhaust, Carsound highflow 2.5" CAT (will completely remove vertical CAT), and Magnaflow performance muffler.

Since this will be my first time dynoing my car, I really don't have any idea where to go to dyno it. Any suggestion?

By the way, how much you guys pay for dyno?

Go to www.dynojet.com and look for local automotive dealers.

The cost varies.... usually from $50 to $100 for 3 runs.

Thanx for the link. However I cannot find local dyno center in Santa Barbara. Any other dyno dealer or place where I can search for dyno center?

I'm sure there are some Mustang Dynos in California but they are fairly rare. I say take a drive to the closest dynojet dealer.

There seem to be a bunch in your area, but none directly in Santa Barbara. Call your local performance shop and ask where their customers take their cars. I saw lots listed around LA, and one in Buttonwillow (fun drive if I remember!).

Why do you want Santa Barbara, your sig says El Centro? Isn't that down east of San Diego?

Well closest DynoJect is 60-70 miles away... and I'm not even sure where that place is ~~

JP El Centro is my home but I'm currently living in my university dorm in Santa Barbara. I guess I will go to LA one day to dyno my car smile.gif

Thanks for help guys.

Your best bet is Ventura.

Feuling R & D Inc.
2521 Palma Dr.
Ventura 93003
Tel. 805-650-2598

Feuling has a GREAT reputation, and the guy is a real motor head. He builds w-3 motors for motorcycles (think a V-twin on a harley...then add on one more cylinder...thus the "W")

He's your best shot, and is only about 25 miles from you.

Hey 25 miles is much better than 60 miles happy.gif

Thanx a lot. I will drive there to dyno my car after header installation.
