Alright so here it goes... Awhile back I took my car in the garage because I screwed up the timing when I put new cams in. I took it to the dealer to get it fixed and the said I also have a recall for the seat belts. I told them yea that thing always gets twisted and is annoying as hell. So they put what ever piece of junk on it and it still didn't fix it. So the past 10 months I've been putting up with the seatbelt getting tangled every time I put it on. Is there any way I can fix this myself? new seatbelt may do the trick or what? This is very annoying. Thanks for any help.

Easiest fix would probably be a new one from a wrecked tib. Put up a WTB, or check some of the part-out threads. When you install it, just be sure to get it all straight the first time and you should be fine.
Either that of you're terrible about twisting up your seatbelt... LOL

i have this same problem with mine, but i find that instead of pulling it straight towards the clip, pull it forward a bunch first, then clip it in and let it slide back. (i use my left thum to keep it forward as i pull with my right so that its not pulling to the side but forward). i hope this works for you, it did for me. in the meantime, keep an eye out for a good used one.

Mine doesn't get tangled at all but it doesn't retract itself very well. The passenger side doesn't retract at all, you pretty much have to put it back in, and the drivers side only does it if you help it a bit. Gets pretty annoying.

heh the passenger side works perfectly. I let my friend drive the one time and I sat in the passenger side and that seatbelt doesn't get twisted or anything.

Anyone know where I can get new seat belts?
