Does this Exist?
Update: I found what I was looking for (sort of) : http://www.gnetcanada.com/vehiclepc-option...GNETVEHICLEDIAGI am just looking for the software though, I can build the computer. I am going to contact this company and see if I can just purchase the software for the GPS and Vehicle Diagnostics.
A guy I work with is working on this for his civic. He molded a 13.8" laptop screen into his dash where the radio and climate controls used to be with a touchscreen overlay. He then created his own OS and stuff. Simplistically you just need to take the voltage changes from your cars sensors and convert them to a display, he's using the serial port on the computer. Right now he just has tach, speedometer, and mileage, just to see how it all works. He just crashed his car, so he's getting it back to operating status, then he's gonna dive back into it. Definatly a cool idea, but I like the new autometer Nexus Guages.
OBDII Data logging Pocket logger uses Palm/Laptop for OBDII logging I know that its compatable with some hyundai's. Could it be of any use to you?
I can confirm this will work with the tiburon, we have used it in the UK for a couple of years works with a large number of PDA's. Its great for monitoring Knock, injector cycle duty and o2. Glad I've been of help we find pocket logger very useful.

Doode, especially if you are going with the SMT6, Javageek just posted a thread a few weeks back about how to do EXACTLY THIS, with a PDA. You can even have it WIRELESS.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TibRacer01)</div><div class='quotemain'>That's exactly what I was thinking, just didn't realize it would cost so much. I was wanting to have a screen in my dash (such as an indash DVD player) that will display engine stats. I think this would be a much cleaner looking install then gauges on the pillar, that is all, no rice. I know that I would need a hard drive and video card to hook to the screen, but those could be mounted about anywhere.
I will keep looking.</div>
Actually HKS used to make a device that does exactly what you want.
