Different Center Console?
The RD2 has a terrible center console. I mean like it's seriously useless. It doesn't even have cup holders. Those ones that slide out from the dash are crap. So I'm looking for some help. Is there any sort of swap from another vehicle or an aftermarket option that I can improve the center console with??

Step 1: Acquire fiberglass
Step 2: Acquire beer
Step 3: Swear a lot and screw up.
....
Step ??: Fiberglass molding learned at level 33.
Fun was had and a new skill acquired.

I heard the GK console would fit with some minor modification. I considered just cutting it apart and plastic welding it back together. I'm not sure how that would turn out though . I'm not moving the ebrake. I'm just surprised that after 15 (almost 16) years no one has come up with a solution :-/

You have to get a short shifter. That way your fist won't hit it.
Do they even sell those awesome ARK Racing short shifters? Those were the best.

I have an automatic. I don't think it's going to be much of an issue. At least I don't think. I'm heading to a junk yard tomorrow to grab a GK one. If it works...cool. If it doesn't...well at least I occupied some of my time lol.

The GK is way too wide to fit between the RD seats and on top of that bolts totally differently. You're going to have to fabricate the solution.
