yellow top is a deep cycle battery and the red top is just a reg. battery with more cranking power far as i remember
if you got abunch of audio stuff then i'd say yellow top
if you just want that extra kick for starting then get a red one
red one starts your car better then a yellow top

Then a red top is still a great choice. Solid warranty and years of reliable performance.
I am so done with Autozone batteries. They never last and their pro-rated warranty is a joke.
There's close to $50 difference between the red top and the yellow top. After reading reviews, I decided the red top was enough for my power needs with the car off. If you plan to occasionally run your system with the car off for hours at a time, go with the yellowtop. Go blue for rice goodness.

lol redz is gonna chew you up with that blue top comment. lol
ima get the oddyssey 680 and if it doesnt seem to hold up for DD, ill go with a jongtr optima/oddyssey pair. one for the track, and one for dd.
I doubt the oddyssey will be a problem, i dont listen to the radio with the car off, and i ripped my amp/sub out because i got into the weight reduction so i dont have any extra electrical demands.

why do people keep saying blue is for rice goodness? it hurts my fragile feelings. 02.gif wink1.gif
the blue tops not only contain WELL placed extra terminals, but they also have more cold cranking amps then the yellow tops.
they weigh less&are more powerful than the yellow tops.
they look better and dont have ill-placed secondary terminals like the red-tops.
