Default Cutting key for 98 coupe

Can any key be cut to work my car? or does it have to be a key made for my car, example i found a cool oem key for a 98 hyundai grandeur could i take it to a locksmiths and get it cut to fit my car?

The geometry (ridges/valleys) on the wider sides of the key must match and the thickness/width of the blank have to be of the right size, so it can be inserted into the lock. If it can't fit into the hole, it doesn't matter if the teeth are cut properly. Unless someone did something unusual to your car, the key is just a chunk of metal and it doesn't matter where it came from so long as it's the right shape.
