snow+car+ dumb kids=

let my stupidity be a lesson for everyone... messin around in the snow untill my friend cut me off sent me sliding sideways toward a parked tractor tralior...(just the trailor) instead of hittin it sideways on the passenger side door... i swung it around and hit the rear of my car on the rear bumper of the trailor... it a weak spot and causing 6k worth of damage (according to a quote from a good body shop)

anyways go ahead and start sayin how dumb i am

this sat, my friends and i are gonna use a tree, some rope, maybe a chain, and a come along and start bending it back so i can rig up a tail light... amazingly the hatch is untouched and still opens and closes
ill get pics from sat to show the progress... it isnt gonna be pretty

anyone have tail lights that they want to sell?

ouch, that sucks. hitting the back panel there sucks but it's not too bad just some serious cash down the drain. i don't think you're dumb, i did something similar but what i did caused absolutely no damage, just took off some paint from my rim when i hit the curb.

it's nice to learn a lesson. it will help you in the future no matter how you think about it. i sure did and don't you guys reading play it off!!

$6k worth of damage? I'd say get a second opinion and see if you can source the parts for cheap yourself.

wow man 6K is was too much lol
we did worst than that for like 1.5K i repeat WORST than that whole front was damaged,
so maybe you can come up to us we'll make you a good deal.
Our shop right before toll bridge to New Jersey (trenton)
morrisville , PA
and,
some scary sh** happend with me yesterday too, but thank god no one hit me and my tib is good,
i was going on Roosevelt like 45 mph, then all of a sudden my rear BOLD tires start sliding sides to sides,
i was trying to keep my tib under control but never happend. At the end i did 2x360's and backed up to the curve lol, again thank god there was no traffic in front of me, i was the first one, so all traffic in the back was braking really hard to look at the action lol,
after those 360's i pulled up to WAWA to calm my heart down, and one of the guys pulled up to me and he was like "Yo man is that you was doing 360's there??? lol i was about to hit you "
so be careful guys i bought new tires today lol smile.gif it scares me alott

that will buff right out!

Seriously, you should be able to bend most of that back into position without it really affecting the car. You will probably need some bodyfiller on the rear fender.. but most of your damage will be hidden by the tailight and bumper cover

hatch will be rewelded IF NOT replaced, rear bumper, rear quarter panel rewelded, new tails, possibly have to rewire tail light. Paint hatch, rear bumper, rear quarter panel.

I see where it could run up $5-6k

good luck

so heres my opinion. some will hate but in this sitch... bend back out the rear fender to fit the tail light smooth. use a lil bondo etc. if necessary. go to napa and figure out ur cars color and get prob two quarts of paint, clear, and primer(comes to about 240 in all). get ur rear tail lights for like 60 off ebay. then hit up the (heres where people hate) cuda2 body kit off ebay. you wont have to move the exhaust much and ur car will come out better than before. any body mismatching just use ur bondo and sandpaper. oh and since the kit is down low, if you've got a steady hand and an air compressor just diy! ive done it for my friend and its no biggy. so lets add up. 240+705+60+20(bondo)=1025 g's. if you're down on cash do what they say, but if you get some insurance money, i say splurge.
