Well Im in the process of installing my new crank pulley from col96fx. Ive gotten the belts off and crank bolt loose. Now I need to get the pulley off. Im hoping to have it done by tonight because I need my car tomorrow. How do I get that sucker off? My dad said it might need to be pressed on or off. I read that it just wiggles off, but mine is really tight and doesnt seem like its gonna budge. Can you guys give me some insight on this!

use rubber mallet.

um.. make sure you pop your spark plug leads before you hit the ignition switch. You do not actually want the car to start.

As for getting the pulley off.. you may have to gently GENTLY tap it with a hammer from one edge to the other to break it free from the crank.. then it should just be a matter or wiggling it loose from the engine.

try prying it off with a screwdriver. just try not to put too much weird force on the actual crank.

Try using some wd-40. Just make sure to clean it off real well afterwards.

the crank pulley on our cars are actually pretty easy to take out comparing to those that you have to use a gear puller to get it out... try it again using the fellas' suggestion(s)
