coolant bypass mod
does anyone have a diy they can post here on how to do the coolant bypass Ive heard about? Is it worth doing if you dont get any big gains from it?
There's a DIY on RDT. Honestly, I did it only because of my bored out TB. Not really going to see much gains from it. Also, if you live in an area where it gets cold don't even think about it because you'll have problems with the TB.
The gains are probably minimal on doing it but i have had it done on my tib for 3+ years and haven't had any issues. aftermarket TB's don't have the pipping for it so its just a stock thing.

i have done this because my System BBTB doesn't have a coolant ports. i don't see how there would be gains from it. so far no issues even with phenolic spacers. people from northeastern states, NY or Canada might have problems.

there are absolutely no actual proven HP or TQ gains from this mod..
all it does is keeps your motor a hair cooler since you're not preheating the air entering your intake manifold and throttlebody with hot coolant circulating around it..
and it will hurt your warm up times in the cold aswell.
worth it in one way.. motor runs a hair cooler... but dont expect any sort of power gain from it at ALL.
