How can I tell If I have a Rev a or not, and what all are the differences? I have a 97

Revision A Tiburons are '97's and what that means is that the "Evap canister" is located
in the drivers side front fender (next to the foglight)
If you remove the splash guard in the front left wheel well, and see no black plastic box,
then you dont have a REV A tib'.

Does it connect to the air induction? What are the differences besides having the canister?

it connects to the fuel tank and has a little valve on it which controls the pressure in your tank. DON'T bother to move it up to the engine bay or anywhere relocating it yourself.

i keep getting a CEL now that i've relocated it to the engine bay. boy do i regret that. see, the only way you can get a Cold Air Intake in is if you don't have a Rev A or you relocate your cannister. The filter will NOT fit with that cannister in place.

the cannister is required for emissions.

if you're going with a Cold Air Intake, I may suggest forking out the cash and having your dealership relocate it for ya. i'm going to do this next weekend because my CEL is like a strobe light.

I dont get why people just dont follow the DIY from I8acobra and remove that biatch.

I have 3 REV A 97s, they're all REV As.

Just look at it like this, everything wrong with the tiburon, was fixed AFTER 97/98

So they suck.
