Quick glance at webtech:

Standard value [at 250-400rpm] 14.5kg/cm2 (1.47Mpa, 213psi)
Limit 13kg/cm2 (1.37Mpa, 199psi)

Max. difference between cylinders 1.0 kg/cm2 (100kpa, 14psi)

I guess for turbo charged engine standart value is lower (12 kg/cm2 - due to lower compression ratio).

^^ Definately sounds about right. What mileage do you have, and post your results, so we can see how these cars age, at least in your case. tongue.gif

you pull out the spark plugs disconnect the ignition pack and install the guage and crank the car over a few times

hmmm would hla's throw off the compression?
the car runs strong and were i hit 154 is were i think the lifters are goin flat

when i raced abqelantra in his 04 i beat him everytime except when i missed 2nd (at the track)
and the only thing extra i had was less weight and a flywheel

he had less milage and cvvt

it idles pretty good (when the subs are off) and ive never had the head off of it

it doesnt really burn oil i think it burnt around half a quart last oil change

and not once has it overheated EVER and i dont smell antifreeze

still has the factory thermostat, factory hoses, factory drive belts cam and crank seals are still the same

i think the only engine thing ive ever done (other than mods) was i had the timing belt replaced around 85k and im at 138 now

most used engines i am lookin at say around 160

wait i just looked at webtech i did the test with the throttle closed maybe i should redo it

Yes, you should redo.
You should check compression pressure with wide open throttle.

If you have low compression - add oil through the spark plug hole (a bit) and check compression on that cylinder again, if it goes up - problem with piston rings, if no - valves, head gasket.
