usually not, but it depends on the design.

You can make your own intake cheap, but make sure the piping is adequate size, the position is correct, and it has minimum bends.

Intake tubing is just that... tubing. AEM or Injen might provide more heat resistant piping and better placement and in return yield higher gains, but you pay more.

I have an AEM and love it. I love the position of the intake, I love the sound, and it fits perfectly behind the bumper.

You aren't going to last long on these forums before you get kicked out by humiliation. I understand you're young and wanting help, but read our forum rules and the FAQ at the top before posting anymore .

Return to your introduction post and try it again.

We do have a link:
http://www.rdtiburon.com/index.php?act=Search

Type CAI Install and look at the fifth topic (i think) that comes up. It has step by step instructions on how to do it.
We also have a DIY (Do It Yourself) forum that has MANY write ups, pictures, and instructions on how to work on your car.

no no no... no super street.

all you need is to take time to look through the forums. Anything you could ever need is in here, just search for it. We've been around for several years and have thousands of members. Anything you're going to do at this point has already been done, asked about, and posted about here.

We have more information about your car than any dealership or magazine could provide you with.

When I bought my tib 7 years ago, I couldn't tell you the difference between an automatic and a stick shift... now I've done a tranny swap from an automatic to a manual, installed my own body kit as well as 90% of the things on the car. It takes time, patience, and willingness to learn.

Starting with the intake is the best thing to do... it's a simple project that gets you familiar with your car and the engine bay. Read the thread I directed you to and it will tell you all you need to know.
