Clutch install
Gonna start pulling my trans today, on my 2001 tiburon 5 speed, anyone have any hints or tips to make this less painful? Thanks.

Supporting the engine with a hoist, jackstands or blocks, will make it much less painful by preventing the engine falling on somebody under the car.
Otherwise, it's a bit of a hassle no matter what you do, but not as bad as on some other cars.

3 Tips. i think 2001 is pull clutch ? Not 100% sure.
1, Once installed add a few bolts and Test the Thrust bearing is connected to the plate
2, If Bearing isn't engageing the Pressure plate and ur fork looks worn Pull the gearbox away and fit it without lining up the lugs. (Few degree down/up) Wobble the box left and right and press on the fork handle and u hear a click. Gently pull away 5mm to clear the lugs then line it up. You will see the fork handle push towards the Stop lug.
3, U can fully open the forks if u unbolt the top arm. (bolt back on once bearing is fitted to stop it fall off or moving during fitting (not everyone knows this)

To remove the trans for the engine you must remove the lever connected to the slave cylinder or the trans wont separate.
When putting the trans back on put the throw out bearing on the shift fork then when the trans is in place pull the lever to snap the tob in place.
Good luck
