For a few weeks now, whenever I take a turn, right or left, at slow speeds, like in a parking lot or in the city, my car makes this weird clunking noise. As soon as the wheels are straight it stops. It doesn't matter how sharp the turn is, it does it whenever I am below 10mph. As soon as I hit 10mph it stops.

Anyone heard of this? Its not a grinding noise, so don't think its the bearings, it just goes "CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK" Like my tire is hitting something; but I checked the tire wells and there is nothing for it to be hitting.

All depends how hard you are on them now man. Had a nissan a few years back, both axles clunked on every turn. They did that for 1 1/2 years, even sold the car like that. Dosen't mean you'll have to replace them right away. Do you like to take chances? Its not that hard of a job, but a few things in the process can be a big PITA.
Be pretty hard to screw something up. Take it as a learning experence. Also i'm sure if you had problems, the guys here would help ya out.

Not hard to change at all if you know a lil about cars. I'm not sure how mechanically inclined you are but you can get a whole new axle for a lil more than the cv joint itself and makes life easier just to change the whole thing. I've seen them on ebay for like $40 or go brand new for less than $100 a side..Hope this helps if you need better info pm me I'll help you thru it..
