My Dash clock gives a time but i cannot set it to the correct time none of the buttons work. I've haven't really been inside the dash much but it would seem like an internal problem with the clock itself. Is My clock junk? or is there some secret fuse to make those buttons work? cause they haven't since i got the car. Thanks for replys
Bad clock. Someone was talking about a clock gb (as rediculous as it sounds) wonder if we could do that still? Im going to try and dig that up. They are expensive from the dealer and some people have ones that are scratched and stuff so it wouldnt be a bad idea.

Take it apart and clean it. The contacts can get dirty and cause it not to work. Make sure you put the buttons back in correctly or it won't work. 3 buttons, can only go in their own places and have to be oriented right.
My clock doesn't work well either.
I set it a while ago after I reset my ecu. then it was good for a few months, then It just stopped showing the right time. and the buttons never worked. It's really weird. And now my reset button i s pushed in. =/
The previous owner of the car even told me that the clock was a little messed up, and it's not really worth it to get a new one since I can just use the clock on the radio. But still it's kinda annoying.

The buttons are on shafts of plastic that easily warp in the heat. Take your clock apart, and you'll notice that all of the shafts are somewhat connected. break those connections, and straighten the shafts. It's about 99.9% impossible to get dirt back there, so the contacts are fine, despite DTN's constant promises that it will fix the issue to clean it.
After fixing the shafts on mine, they work fine, except for the HOUR button every once in awhile.

I've never had a single problem with my clock, it always shows the correct time.
However! I think it would be much cooler if we could have a part made to -replace- the clock. We all have stereos, so who needs it? Actually, I might have to think about that some more. Put in a little LCD panel, or maybe use it as a toggle-switch panel. Hmm...

Try using a jeweler's screw driver and rodding out the hole. that's really the only place it can stick.

I never promissed. I said seriously try it. It worked for me. My clock is messed up because I had something under a button and pressed to hard on it to get it to work. I took it apart and cleaned it with alcohol, then it worked perfectly. The buttons can get debris from the rubber, or the circuit board, not just dust.
The buttons also can go in 3 different slots, 4 different ways. They should be flush with the edge of the clock and follow the curves of the clock. If they do not move properly, it's either a sticking button or a misaligned button.
I've removed the clock from the car and opened it's case 5 times while experimenting with different lenses, dropped my clock's circuit board once, and it still works.

That would be so sweet. I had origonally thought about using a <a href="http://"http://www.us.kingbright.com/images/catalog/SPEC/APPDA04-41MBWA.pdf"" target="_blank">12-14 segment display</a> to put "DTN" on my clock, but then I decide it would be cool for about 15 seconds and I'd want something else on there. I want to find some existing product I can adapt for use on the clock which would allow me to scroll "DTN KIX" or "Blue is the new chrome", or "Kant's Lovemonkey".
