cleaning carbon from valves/ pistons

cleaning carbon from valves/ pistons
so now that i replacing some bent valves in cylinder 1 what shud i use to clean off some of the carbon build up on the other valves/ top of the pistons??
is it a good thing to do?

Google knows what to use. It's a good idea right up until you scratch the sealing area on the back of the valve. If you are not sure you can do it with chemicals, don't tempt fate. Use good gas and sometimes run the engine hard and it will be clean-enough by itself.

oh ok i was wondering if i could spray something to clean them before i put the head back on, i will sure google it, some ppl said oven cleaner but i dnt wana risk using that.lol
