I picked up a used oem style carbon fiber hood for an irresistible price($75). Although the only problem with it is that it has a filmy white residue on it. I washed,clayed, polished, and waxed it. It took off the film, but now it looks cloudy. Also when a light source reflects on it, you can can see the light surrounded by blue,orange, and yellow(Kinda like a flame). Any suggestions as to the best way to clean it and make it shiny?

 

This is how I restored mine. Use 1000 grit wetsand paper and wet sand it. Then wet sand with 1500, the 2000, then clay bar it, then use Meguires plastX. My hood came out amazingly clean and even took some of the small rock pits out.
