Check Engine Light, P1124... Help!

My check engine light came on, so i stopped by autozone to get it checked. The code that came up was P1124, i did some searching and didnt really get to much help.

P1124 Fuel System Lean - Idle

Most of what i have found people said it could be this or that, either pertaining to the TPS, IAC, O2, and MAF.

So essentially i guess im trying to figure out what the problem is so i can just get it figured out so i can just get that annoying little light off.

For further information i have a AEM CAI and a Megan Equal length Header, with extended O2 wires... So if anyone can point me in the right direction it will be very much appretiated laugh.gif

O2 sensors don't last forever. If it's not actually leaning out, which your may but might not cause, my first hunch is an oxygen sensor. But then, I've had one fail and throw a fuel trim code before, so I may be biased.

so then i should look into the O2 sensors? oh i forgot to mention that every once in a while the idle is rough, thats why i may be leaning towards TPS.

the very 1st thing i would do is run an injector or fuel system cleaner & clean maf with maf cleaner found at parts store. injectors may be clogged with contaminants
2 fuel filter
you could rent fuel pressure tester kit from parts store also before possibly replacing the fpr
3 strainer maybe clogged
4 fpr
5 O2 sens
6tps
7iac

i noticed that my car was idling weird so i took a video. this is when my car is in neutral, its idles between 1900-1700. (when it goes above 2000 its because i accidently hit the gas). But i figured this was defiantly a problem with my tps. unless something else would cause this let me know thanks

If you suspect the TPS, and it's easy to test, why not test it?

Believe I found the reason why my check engine light is on, and why my car has seemed kinda slugging lately. I was messing around in the engine bay and looked around my IM and noticed a leak in the gasket. I turned the car on found the hole and i could feel a vacuum, so tomorrow I plan on pulling off my IM and replacing the gasket. Is there any reason this would happen? Or was it just a shitty gasket? So I'm not sure if I'm going to get a different brand or not. Also might clean the ports of my IM and head while the IM is off, also might bore out the opening to 58mm, because I'm planning on upgrading my throttle body. Ill let you guys know if the new gasket fixes the CEL.

Sometimes the intake-head gaskets break. A large amount of unmetered air intake would certainly mess with the fueling. This is one of the reasons I am hesitant to slap a header on my car . . . what if you are monitoring the wrong port with your only O2 sensor and something like this happens?
