CEL p0121, p0506
p0121 - tps voltage doesnt agree with maf
p0506 - idle speed lower than expected
so i instlalled my IM, hondata gasket an BBTB and now im throwin theese two codes. my car idles at 3k - 5k. but it doesnt just idle, its starts at 3k and revs up to 5k, bogs back down to 3k and just repeats the cycle. and if its in gear itll pull me up to 5k in every gear (so i dont have to press the gas to accelerate). does it seem like a TPS or MAF sensor

Sounds like your TPS, but I'd adjust the hell out of your idle and reset your ECU first.
yeah mine did the idle acceleration bit when I installed my BIM and BTB. Drive it around for a few days and see if it settles, thats what mine did. I freaked out at first because no one warned me what it was going to do but its ok now.
Of course your TPS and MAF voltages are going to be different because a tiburon is used to pushing air through a 54mm TB instead of whatever size TB you just put on.

ok, so i got it fixed, i just reset the ecu, started the car and messed with the idle and let it run for about 2 minutes ..... dont know why that didnt work yesterday. but i dont care as long as its fixed ... lol.gif

See, I had no problems with my BBTB because it was used, it was at the perfect setting for me when I installed it.
ALWAYS RESET YOUR ECU after an engine mod. That's my motto.
