A few months ago i was stupid enough to buy one of those resistors "chips" and after a week i took it off and broke it, ever since then a cel would come up out of random. Finally the other day i put the OBD on there and it said "oxygen sensor circuit malfunction", any suggestions on what to check? the car doesn't run any different, but the light will come on at random

seems like a short, check your O2 wiring. what kind of oxygen sensor is it? is it plugged into the harness?
why did you take the chip off and where did you get it from? the car might not seem different to you, but you might be comsuming more fuel and the computer isn't getting the right readings.
i'd say check yourr wiring for a short.
