Cat Issues
Since I have had a company car I hardly drive the Tib anymore 02.gif
Last year I did put a whole new exhaust on.
Drives like beauty and sounds like a beast.
But now to the problem.
2 weeks ago I was on the ramp to the highway. I did hear a metal thing coming under my car, didn't see anything obviously.
No effects under driving, but after I went of the highway and coming down the the trafficlights I've noticed a rattle between 1000 and 1500 rpm.
So now there is a noticeble and annoying rattle when accelerating.
Yesterday the tib went on the lift and they banged on the cat and the problem was found.
The said, the inside came loose or something. So the iinside can move and causes the rattle.
Eventually the cat could get clogged and needs to be replaced.
well ok, I can live with that. But I have driven the car for maybe 4000 miles after the exhaust job.
Isn't that extremely fast?
FYI, it's an Magnaflow 94406 converter.
Edit: I drive like a little sissy when warming up, but I like to push the throttle in every ride I take..
In moments, not all the time
