when you turn the key, does the engine turn over and not start?? or do you just hear a click, click and no start ???
your profile says your a mechanic...? are you turbo and do you have a custom sound system? and you have a 2000 right?
i would think its the 1-battery/alternator, 2-starter

head down to autozone, they have a machine to test the alternator (take it with you... call them it might have to be on the car). probably what it is, if it was just battery then once start it would run fine. but if the alternator is dying then it would act as your described. laugh.gif

how old is your battery? the same thing happend to my friends car, hed "start" it and the car'd die. he only needed a new battery, however with me i started it, turned over and then died=new alternator, wooohoooo..... oh btw hate to get off topic, but RU>Cuse
go to radioshack, pickup a battery or alternator tester. It's in the area by the electronic multimeters.
It's like 11-15 bucks, you can test either. It'll tell you if it's DEAD DIEING or GOOD tongue.gif Hope that helps!! (If it's the alternator bro, it'll cost ya a few bucks. so i hope not)
Same thing happend to me, trying to run my subs & amps from one battery.
throw another in da trunk lol.gif
