Car Overheating Help
#1
Hey,
well for some reason when im driving my car will be running really good then all of a sudden the temp gauge will shoot staight up, my lights will go dim, and my heat will stop working then i will hear a squeeling sound, i will pull over and watch as all my engine coolant gets sucked away to somewhere
what could this be?

yep. you'll find coolant on the ground under your car. i think Kspec has the waterpump maintenance & replacement kit with belts. that was happening to me. you can drive the car short distances, but i drove 1000 miles to florida and broke down on a VERY overheated engine. man... my engine was so hot you could boil eggs on the valve cover. cost me $1500 in damages.
i learned my lesson on car maintenance. we all do at some point.

I never did the waterpump (when I changed by t-belt, I bought a waterpump to change it too, but the wrong pump was in the box and I did not discover it until I had the car apart) but the timing belt can be a pain in the arse. If you do not feel confident about working on the engine or your car, find somebody who can do it for you
