I bought an ASPEC CAI and was very happy with it. I think 39.00 in all shipped. Some people will argue AEM or Injen, but honestly, I think its a waist of money. Spend 50 or 60 bucks and use the other 150-200 on more parts! Like pullies or a 1.8 ECU.

Mine was two pieces, and placed the filter in the front bumper. Here is one I just found on ebay for ya that looks to be 1 solid pipe. If I wasnt F/I now, I would probably look into this one.

Here is the link:ebay CAI suggestion

This one looks nice as well: Another option

Just get any cai that is a AEM clone and change the filter for a k&n or aem dry flow and you will be good.

What is the black piece that has 2 washers on each side and 2 bolts screwed in on each side?

it's a rubber mount for the intake pipe.

Just don't get one of these...

You'll get a 90 degree rubber coupler, and a straight piece of chrome tubing with a little bend at the end, and a cheap ass bomz racing air filter.

These suck too. Warm air intakes are counter-productive.

this one for sure.

AEM clone
great price, great knockoff design. much more worth it then buying an actual AEM also.. would save ya like 120-130$ with virtually the SAME performance.

you can probably also use that filter. I used one identical to that, it was either ebay or autozone filter and never had issues. i used it when i was boosted and when i ruined my filter on my AEM.

but for the best flow, i would get a K&N cone filter and throw it on that intake.

HEHE I bought one of those intakes AGreen is b****ing about! Worked fine for me. The only issue you have with it is that there is no mounting brackets but a couple L-brackets clamped under the pipe clamps and attached to one of the many bolts holes fixes it right up. It is LOUD too. Whistles almost like a turbo does when it first starts spooling. Hell I'm happy for my $10!!

The one they sent me was ridiculous. The rubber elbow/straight pipe thing wasn't what was pictured, so I actually did b**** the guy out until he sent me the right one. And it actually is pretty loud, and DAMN it makes a difference.

(I hope it gets even louder after this weekend when I do the pistons)
