When I first bought my car the previous owner must have lived near the woods because i had to dig ACORNS out of my blower, the resonator, and i still to this day have them in the hood.
There has been multiple discussions, there is no OEM cabin air filter.

I think everyone has the ablity to change their own oil filter, some people dont have garages, weather permitting, etc. Car minded people think nothing of it but there are the single parents out there that just dont have the luxury.

Thats true. I, however, have changed mine outside, on the ground, no jack, into a squished milk jug. Just because I knew it had to be done and didnt trust anyone else doing it.

well necessity dictates some things on a car.
It is a wonder why more people don't go to walmart, get an oil change and loosen the oil bolt, drive, then sue.
do you have a case if something like that happens?

This question should be your own topic but i have a feeling someone is going to get on you for not using the search button.
For your oil question
type into search : "transmission oil" or look in the owners manual, it should be in there.
As for the types of oil: Redline, Amisol, Royal Purple top the list. They are a bit expensive but its worth it.
Hope that answered everything.
