I came across this for the 95-99 accent and I think it looks like a decent upgrade for 22$. What I really wanted to know is can I get one for my tib, I had a look and they dont look interchangable, and I understand that the picture shown is clearly not a hood hinge for an accent. I tried contacting the company and getting more info, and tried to get a name on the manufacturer of the part, and i am pretty sure that the help desk there is staffed by a monkey, or some other primate, one of the small ones without thumbs, either way, they were no help. Does anybody recognize this part? or the manufacturer? can i get it somewhere for the tib? i dont think its gonna fit, will it?

What does it do? Lift the rear of the hood?
Or does it keep the hood up, without the hood support?

yeah, it is a replacement hood hinge that has its own built in hood prop.

the part number is 79110-22000, do the research.

i thought of that, the tib is listed as 79110-27000, its close, but no cigar, i was hoping somebody recognized the part and knew who manufactured it. An idea that just hit me now was to get a stock accent hood hinge and this kit and replace both hinges on the tib, an "accent hood hinge swap" if you will, but i doubt that the bolt holes would line up, that would be too easy.
