Default Body Parts

Hey, I'm pretty new to the forum here.
I just replaced the hatch of my '01 Tib, everything went together great, but I ran into one small problem. The bottom of the hatch isn't flush with the body. Any tips?
Also: is replacing the hood as simple as just unbolting it from the hinges?

You have to adjust how the part sits and then bolt it down. Same for the hatch and hood.

i've never done the hatch, but i agree that's totally the problem. try loosening the bolts loose enough so that you can slam the hatch and pivot it correctly. when you lift it up it should be good enough to tighten all the way securely.

for the hood, there's just four bolts on two brackets holding it. unclip the washer nozzles. easy as legos.

Thanks for the input. I'll re-align it very soon.

before you take off your old hood, drill a small hole into the hood and bracket on each side for alignment just so that if you need to put the old hood back on for whatever reason you can get it on there exactly how it was aligned before you took it off. Just a matter of lining up the holes.
