Equal length, large diameter, short primaries are better. nana.gif The hwarang has long primaries, but I didn't have the time or money to test and compare headers when I bought them. But I'm still happy with them.

 

Really, if your going for quiet, I would get 2.25" inside diameter piping, with a glasspack, and keep the stock muffler or something close to it.
