I think it's the biggest you can go because after that you cannot generate as much power. The engine simply cannot suck in enough air to make power.

I agree with Silvertibs...

I think you'd start to feel a drop in power if it sucked in too much air... either way, you'd definitely need a fuel regulator of some sort...

Col, 60mm would be perfect man! hint hint wink.gif wink.gif

The thing you have to be careful of is running lean which can lead to detonation and end up blowing your engine.

62mm is the most you can go with N/A..you can use a larger throttle body for turbo..especially if you have a turbo with an AirRam setup. In that instance, you could go between a 67mm to a 70mm (if you enlarge the AirRam opening)..I believe that's why Redz was asking if you could make a 70mm.

i really dont see you running lean with this setup. Our injectors can handle the extra air and our ECU's run as rich as it is.

Alright, so in summary we can run as high as 62mm bore on our throttle bodies without running lean/losing power. Anything higher than that may require a little bit of tuning and it would be a better way to go for a turbo setup.

You can't bore your stock tb to 62mm, max is 58mm. If you want more than 58mm, you need to change the tb.

No one said to try boring the stock TB to 62.
