Okay guys, they came out on the site this week but I forgot to post it here.

www.hondata.com

Finally, someone is making us Heatshield Gaskets (Also known as phenolic spacers). Yes, on the site it says 03 Hyundai Tiburon I4, but that's just the Beta 2. The Beta 1 has the EXACT SAME gasket pattern.

Wait to install your Airrams, get one of these first. You'll be glad you did.

What do they do?

These gaskets are made of a High, VERY high temp resistant plastic, they keep your engine from transmitting heat to your Intake manifold. That, in turn, keeps the air coming in COLDER, from what I've read 70 to 120 degrees colder to the touch. OUCH. Also, since the air isn't heating back up, you won't have as much turbulence in your runners.

To get everything you can out of your setup, get one of these guys.

PRICE?

$60 plus S/H I belive.

Quality?

Just from looking, great. Looks like they are laser or CAD cut. Very clean. The surface of mine (Yeah, I got one of the first ones, showed up today! ) has one rough spot, but since you compress the gasket when you bolt it on, no problems will be had. These are about 2 times as thick as the stock gasket too guys.

I will be installing mine sometime in the next month. Hopefully I get my Airram next week.

For more info check the site, www.hondata.com, you'll be impressed to say the LEAST by the testing and such.

Hey Redz, did you order it by email from them or did you look up your local dealer for them?

I didn't order it, they contacted me and sent me one so I'd talk about them. I've been wanting one for awhile.

My local dealer CAN get them though.

So can yours.

I would say longer bolts are NOT needed. This thing isn't THAT thick.

Check on their site, but I'll measure it for you later.
