yeah, a a/f meter with a narrowband sensor is kind of a wast of money IMO.

id get this.....

if you dont, use the manifold sensor, and tap into the yellow wire coming out of it.

How much is a Wideband O2 sensor compared to the regular ones? And would this just replace the the existing O2 sensor that is there now?

I heard the the Air/fuel is better to be hooked just before or just after the Catalitic converter..... Thats because if you put it on the manifold.. the tempeture is too high an you will not have a perfect signal for the sensor reading....

I connected one.....To tell you the truth i didn't know what was wrong with the F* meter till i read the thread!!! Our sensors HAVE to be just a narrow band sensors because the meter works like crazy, from lean to rich, very fast and with no pattern....

For the history though, you connect the meter wire to the yellow wire of the O2 sensor.

Does anybody know where we can find a wide band sensor to put on?

The thing is guys, the wire color varies from year to year. If you look at the O2 side of the harness, there are two whites, a gray, and a black wire. Now look at the ECU side of the harness, the wire you need to tap into is the one that meets up with the black wire. On my 99 it is a green wire, with white stripe.

yeah, you must leave the stock sensor in there. you can however get a wideband sensor, get a bung welded in before all CATs and then hook it up thataway.

I just put one in yesterday and it jumps from lean to rich at idle and cruising. But Stays rich at WOT. also be sure to connect it between the sensor plug and ecu not between the plug and sensor as that is a shielded wire and you will not have a constant reading. The wire color Is yellow on an 01 tiburon i hope this information helps. Tiburons also come from the factory to run rich so the gauge reading rich alot is normal...... c
