you could carfax either car to see if it's been wrecked. They usually will state if airbags were deployed. Or take it to dealership.

I took the Mad_John route when I bought my car and just removed the bulb, the owner before me put black eletrical tape over hit, lol.

 

My light is on cause i blew a fuse while wiring my amp and i don't know of anyone round these parts who has the computer program to reset everything.

 

mine only turns on when you start for bulb checking and then it dies.

But I have removed the cluster about ten times to build in my bros gauges and it never stayed on.

 

mine turned on and i got an odbII tester to check out the prob. It turned out to be that there was a spike in wattage and a excessive downfall in wattage. So i just turned it off with the odbII tester and it never came on again.
