Yes, it is, the Injen has too many curves and they are too tight. Just not as good of a design.
I know it's crazy, considering the AEM is like 120 cheaper at most places, but yup.

I had the Injen, Its a lot shorter than the AEM. The AEM being longer gets further out of the engine bay... hince cooler air than the heated stuff in the engine bay.
in case you didn't get it by now...AEM makes the best intakes for our cars (and most other ones too), so if you are going to get an intake you might as well spend the extra money and get the best one available.
The AEM is the best. Period, end of story. Now, as to whether or not you need a bypass valve, it all depends on your climate. REDZMANG doesn't need one because he lives in dry ol' New Mexico, whereas I'll need one because I live in Louisiana, were flooding is rampant.

Flooding is rampant here too mang. It's been raining for about the last 5 weeks, every day.
I just don't drive thru ditches, potholes, gaping chasm's, what have you.

Mang, I think you don't quite understand what flooding is here. You'll be driving along, and ENTIRE SECTIONS OF ROAD will be underwater. There's no avoiding it. AND, we've got potholes everywhere, so that just compounds the problem.

Simple. You stop the car. It's avoided
LOL
I'm not stupid, I've lived in N. Cali where it floods, Central Cali where it floods, Kansass where it floods, NC where it floods, Korea where it floods, and NM where it floods.
