Default 99 tib radiator bursted

So i was cruising down the highway in my 6-4, anyways. cruising down the high way then all of the sudden this thick white cloud emits from my hood, I quickly use my 4 disc brakes to my advantage and pull over, Open the hood only to be blinded by what smelled to me, burning radiator fluid. So naturally I walked away, called triple A, waited 2 hours for a tow truck, but meanwhile while sitting there I noticed that my radiator at the top bursted, about a 12 inch crack and chunks missing. Has anyone had this problem before because it really made a mess in my engine bay... my CAI is SOAKED

The stock radiator has a plastic tank. It happens, rarely.

Yeah. So i put my brand new 120 dollar radiator in and now it started to over heat. I was about 6 miles from home so I tried making it but it kept shooting up to close to the Red mark so i turned it off, It was still in the white part of the temp guage about a 3/8 of a inch away from the begining of the red mark, Anyways. I stopped and pulled over 3 times and let it cool down then I go to start it and it doesn't turn over. I bled the radiator but my dad said he thinks its the thermostat and the battery took a dump because i had my 4 ways on and lights and the heater fan

Thermostat is very easy to check and only a mild pain to get to on this car. Severe overheating might be why you lost the first radiator . . . do you recall if it was overheating when it blew?

It is also possible you did not "burp" the coolant system properly and you are trying to transfer engine heat through big bubbles in the engine, vs. through coolant, which will not work.

If he gave it a standard effort it may have not been enough. The instructions are here if you want to search real quick, it takes a couple extra repetitions to get them totally burped. Installing the thermostat will be a perfect chance to practice!

Installed the thermostat today, in the process of burping it, Is there a bleed valve?

A drain petcock, yes. An air bleeder, no.
