2001 Tiburon fuel pump problem
Hello everyone,
We have a 2001 Tiburon 2.0 we have been struggling to get going, the wife is really depressed about it D: .
The Fuel pump has not been working at all so far we put on new...
> New Bosch fuel pump
> New Official Hyundai crankshaft position sensor
> New Fuel pump relay
> New Spark plugs
> New Spark plug wires
> New Coil pack
> New Fuel pump fuse ( Ecu Fuse under the hood )
> New fuel filter
> Fuel injectors professionally cleaned
The pump does not hum or prime, we took the fuel cap off and listened when the key is turned no noise.
We took a Tester light to the plug that goes onto the fuel pump connector, two of the 6 prongs are getting power.
I'm sort of baffled, were is the ground located for the fuel pump ? I had a good friend change the pump for me as I was busy at the time.
If anyone can help it would mean the world to my wife, as shes very depressed about this I'm not sure what to try next.
Thank you kindly in advance

I wonder why you replaced all those parts specifically, and I wonder what-all tests have been done.
Does the starter turn the engine at all?
You may be at the point of pulling your back seat. The fuel pump is under there. Pull it out and check for yourself that it is the proper pump according to the part number on the pump itself. While it is out, turn the key to 'run' and see if the pump runs.
These cars are relatively simple. The problems usually also are simple. Tell your DW that the Internet is helping and it'll be fixed soon(er than otherwise)

Thank you all very much for the replies
Sadly we don't have a heated garage, and the car is outside right now and I live in Canada :s so gotta wait until it warms up.
The starter turns the engine perfectly nice and fast not sluggish at all what so ever, so I will take the pump out turn the key and see if it does anything. Thank you all kindly, for the replies

So check this out...
Do a connectivity test on that connection from fuel pump wire harness to the fuel pump (Just that plastic connector from fuel pump lid.)
Sorry for the crude drawing. Just a picture speaks 1000 words. 🤷🤷🤷 Though, that connection.
