The 1.8L cam provides four more degrees of duration (opens one degree earlier, closes three degrees later -- IIRC) and 0.4mm more lift than the stock 2.0L intake cam from any 2000 or earlier Tiburon/Elantra.

Any of the Tiburon/Elantra cars that use the new 2001 G4GD BETA engine (the one with the solid lifters) already has an agressive intake cam, swapping it to the 1.8L will actually be a step in reverse.

That intake cam from the G4GD engine (you can order it by requesting the intake cam from a 2001 Elantra GT) has 4 more degrees of duration and 0.4mm more lift than even the 1.8L intake cam.

The 1.8L cam might be cheaper by a few bucks, but the 2.0L intake cam from the G4GD engine would work even better. If you have most of the rest of your N/A mods (intake, BBTB, BBIM, header, full exhaust) then the 1.8L cam is probably good for 3-4WHP and the *new* 2.0L cam is probably good for 5-6WHP at absolute best.

You will see less gains if you have less done to the intake side of the engine...

BETA II, I believe. It's the cam for the version of the engine that doesn't use HLA's.
