Yeah, so I'm going to get my 0-60 time and what the hell do you know.......my second gear stops at like 58 MPH. Its a 2001 tib, anyone else find this a problem and has anyone tried changing the gears, and if so, what kind did you use and where did you get them??

No, you cannot change the gears unless you want to drop your tranny.
Your 2001 Tiburon should take you to 61-62 MPH before hitting the rev Limiter.
Sounds like your speedo is off a few MPH, or you changed your wheels/tires to a slighly different circumference.

Rand. I have a 5sp and my top *without redlining* is 55 in 2nd. I could probably make it to 58mph, but I'm not sure. I'll check in a few mins when I leave here to head home. What is our rev limiter set at?...like 7500 rpms?

No, raising the redline is not necessary.
Any 2.0L 5spd manual transmission Tiburon will hit 60+ miles per hour in 2nd gear. This is not "as read by the speedometer gauges" but is actual real-life speed with a Vericom unit. To be more precise, I think it's 62mph before you bump the revlimiter.
If your Tiburon uses the 2.0L engine and is a 5spd manual and LOOKS like it doesn't hit 60, it's either becuase your tach is off or your speedometer is off.
A tire change will not affect your actual speedometer readout, because the car measures speed only by the axle rotation. If you slapped on a set of Geo Metro 12" rims and tires, the speedo would still read 60mph even if you're REALLY only doing about 45 (because of the much smaller tires).

Oh, sorry I misread the last request...
Stock revlimiter on the 2.0L BETA is somewhere between 6750 and 6775, I cannot get an exact number. If you try to floor the car past 6775 you will not hurt it, the computer will kill the ignition for a split second and then turn it back on.
Run the car as hard as you like in 2nd gear and watch where your MPH needle stops right when you bump the limiter. It should be just a hair over 60mph... Given stock wheels and tires and proper inflation, 62mph is where the car tops out in 2nd.
