Default Tyre width

I tried posting this n another forum & got no answers.....so here goes.....

does anyone know what the max width of tire (eg 235/245) would fit on the stock 18" turbo ltd rim without rubbing the inside or out of the wheel well?

factory suspension?

How many sizes are you looking to increase?

Why go wider? A size or two would be fine I'm sure

If you measure the wheel width you can figure out what the widest tire that can be safely mounted would be. The odds are pretty good that wheel width will be your limiting factor here. Whatever the stock size is you can probably go about 20mm wider on that wheel. You can also look and see how much clearance you have on the inside and outside of the tire currently to know how much wider you can go. For best results you could drive the car up on a ramp with one tire to make the suspension compress at one tire in the front and back to check the clearance at maximum travel.
