I was wondering if doing a seafoam treatment once a year is a good as far as preventative maintenance goes? My car is only a year old so would seafoaming it do any good or is that stuff mostly for cars that have high mileage?

no. just no. additives/cleaners are a waste of money.
just about all fuels now (if not all) already have detergents in them. 'dirty engine' is a way for mechanics and these additive companies to scam you out of your money. it is simply not necessary. want to clean the engine? get the injectors reverse flow cleaned once or twice in the life of the car. clean out the throttle body with a can of carb cleaner. done.
also, how do you know that adding all that crap in isn't going to damage any seals over time?
