Hyundai's CVT

OK, I read on Hyundai's site that the "EF Sonata" has Hyundai's Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), aka, H-matic? It says that the transmission has 6 gears, which would not make it a real CVT transmission.

Still... I know that the current gen Sonata does not have a six gear automatic tranny. Anyone know what's up with the Hyundai CVT?
