I think it looks great, which probably means it won't sell well.
The Sonata is Hyundai's best selling car, if they screw it up in the eyes of mainstream consumers it'll be very bad.
Seems like the "family car" segment favors bland cars. Start adding character and sales go down. I think this new car should have gotten a different name and should have been sold alongside the Sonata for a year or so to make sure it didn't tank.

cars need to be grill-less again. the engines in these new cars will be filled with dirt, dust, and whatever else.
i really don't like all these useless cups and lines all over the place. it's okay for people who live in florida and texas but up north it gets very dirty and grimy and crap gets stuck in between. --course i could be wrong, maybe it's just me and my imagination that dust and grime gets caught up in between "easy to clean" creases. wacko.gif they need to go back to these days:
only upgrade the quality, add some aluminum surrounds and stitching...

I am very intrigued by this new car. 200 hp BEFORE a turbo? 6 speed manual? styling that is not for everyone, but it does show that the brand is moving forward, and could even pull other companies with it. And, it's big enough to haul around all my crap. I am looking forward to checking out how it prices out.

happy for the car, but i just want the engine from a salvage. i'm going to talk to my guy to have the turbo Theta swapped in in a few years. we're talking 250hp on 2,500 pound car with no internal engine modification. pretty badass. as long as the engine mounts are similar. cross fingers.
