Hyundai offers rebate to Toyota owner
Hyundai Motor Co. of South Korea joined rivals with a deal to take advantage of Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Co.’s massive recall troubles.
Hyundai said it would provide $1,000 rebates for Toyota trade-ins if the customer opted for either a Hyundai Sonata, Elantra or Elantra Touring, The Detroit News reported Friday.

i just read an article that Hyundai USA quoting Krafcik saying that they're sticking to their current strategy and that it is not their goal to take advantage of another automaker's troubles. just more proof they are quite split up from each other

Hyundai is defiantly taking advantage of Toyota's mishaps, but I would to if I was the head of a car maker. Toyota is gunna take a HUGE hit on their reputation.

Even though Toyota is having serious issues now, and their quality may take a hit (rep wise)...they're still way better than Ford or GM. laugh.gif

yeah supposedly they are. i thought Ford was above Toyota.
and as much as Hyundai thinks it will rise to be the best in the world, Toyota still has a massive, massive chunk of market share in comparison.
