Hyundai has just announced plans to introduce the new i20 and i30 blue concept HED-6 in three-door, the Geneva Motor Show, but we found on telegraaf the first images of the new model.

Set to play a role in Hyundai's European line, the new three-door i20 added entry-level affordability with a sporting aspect. From the leaked pictures,we can see that the new i20 looks the same to the five-door sibling.

The new i20 will be powered by three petrol engines, the 1.2-liter 78 HP, a 1.4 liter producing 100 HP and a 1.6-liter churning of 126 kW. Diesel fans get a 1.6 liter unit that cranks 115 hp.

The i20 three door will go to sales during the second quarter of 2009, with prices starting somewhere in the neighborhood of €12,000.

In an attempt to foster Hyundai’s brand image and to take the i20 sales success to the next level in Europe, the company will launch the versatile i20 three-door in the second quarter of 2009. The 3-door i20 will be the entry level hatchback for the i20 lineup, promising a youthful and a sporty appeal. It will be made in India (at Hyundai’s Chennai Plant) and exported to the European market, the question is.. Will India get the 3-door i20?
