Hyundai gives KDM facelifted Accent - is the U.S. next?
Hyundai's released a handful of images of the redesigned Verna Transform, or, as it's known in markets outside of Korea, the Accent. This 2010 model receives a thoroughly redesigned front fascia that's strikingly similar to the recently released Subaru Legacy, with a deep air dam, oversized front grille, foglights, and sculpted bumper that accentuates the pointed and drawn headlamps. The sides appear largely unchanged, and although there's only one image of the redesigned rump, expect the taillights to continue the bulbous theme out back.
Inside, the center stack has been modified with new faux aluminum trim and upgraded materials, while the green illumination of the instrumentation has been ditched in favor of a new blue hue. Motivation comes courtesy of a 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine and Hyundai Korea will continue to offer an "Eco" indicator on the dash that encourages a light foot. The redesigned Verna is rumored to hit Korean dealers this month, and it's assumed that the 2010 Accent will show up Stateside later this year.

I can't decide whether I like it or not. I'm really on the fence. I like the bottom half for sure, but the headlights and grille don't really look great. Much more aggressive than the 06-09 though. I like the swooping frontal area which mimics the Genesis Coupe.

the upscale styling proportions and features like led-mirrors, flush exhaust setup, and Electroluminescent gauges look sweet but the front genesiscoupe like front looks overdone and makes the wheels look dwarfy
it has that melted look and the grill is ungodly fugly!
i'm more interested in the interior, too bad they'll never fix the "don't rush me" rubbery 5-speed thats attached to rubber bands
its almost as if hyundai ran out of ideas and slapped the genesis coupe bumper on the car
I'll still take the honda fit

I dont really care for it either. If you look at the drivers side headlight in the first top pic in the post...it looks almost like it sticks out away from the body, making it a bug eye style. And that grill.....oh god...the horror! tongue.gif
Seriously...when that come out....just hope to god someone makes a decent body kit for it, that will make it eleventy billion times better than what it looks like stock. laugh.gif

I actually had a nightmare about it last night. Lol. Everything on Earth was extinct but me and that Accent. It turned into some sort of cockroach like insect. It kept peering at me around rocks and making a creepy shuffling noise. lol.
