Hey everybody, I've new to this board, but I've posted this question on another board i frequent and got a good response...i thought i'd post it here as well.

Is it possible to put a tiberon tranny and engine into an accent? if so about how much would such a mod run me, and is there anyone here who has done it? thanks!

Yes, it's possible, but I'd only do it if it were attached to a Tiburon motor at the time.

There's no real point in swapping out JUST the accent tranny for the tiburon unit.

It's a 99 accent....
Its not for sure yet i'm thinking it would bust my wallet for sure. But i'm thinking it would be quite the sleeper car if it was done

I guess I'll be the mean person and tell you to search, it'll help you out a lot, just search for "beta swap"

I'm the process of doing a Beta transplant into an 96 Accent GT. I just need more info.
We've got the motor, trans, ECU, wiring and all the motor mounts. I just need to know if I need the Axles off the Tib.

Hopefully in the next few weeks we can get this project started.

you need the axles, but they will need to be shortened also.

Alex-

See if you can get ahold of Dan from KORE. He's got a 2.0L beta running in an accent. He might be able to provide you with some pointers.
