sickly sweet project man!! looking forward to your progress..i hope you can achieve more than what most of us fellow former beta-swapped guys couldn't.

This sounds like a really, really sweet project. I always toyed with the idea of a supercharged beta in an accent. Put on stock front tires and fry third with no fucks to give.

Nice swap!

switch back to the oem crank pulley-... lightweight crank pulley and boost seem to blow up oil pumps

I agree, I blew a couple...

aka..harmonic balancer.

sometimes oem parts are the way to go for reliability and durability.

faithofadragon May 12, 2013 08:14 PM

also, those 440s are a bit overkill for the alpine but should work ok

a lightweight, near instant torque, accent sounds pretty fun, but dont expect to win any drag races with it

 The Alpine S/C's are EXTREMELY rare. Way awesome that you have one in working order AND a beta swapped accent. Did you make custom engine mounts?

Tak82 May 13, 2013 07:45 AM

it's rare to see a blown accent cruisin the streets...with the meowing of the supercharger and that big lump of useable power at your disposal..might as well call it the beta accent 2.4L

given the fact that roots type blower excel's at low end but not high end torque..but meh..it's not everyday we get to see a member belt boosting a accent..

it's probably the best news i heard in years
