Default engine swap question???

umm... i got a quote for a 2.0 beta. $450 w/ ECU but shipping is probably a big PITA to pay.

question:

What if the engine shipped to me is a slushbox? How would I swap it to a manu tranny?

The engine is an engine is an engine. If it comes with the ECU, it is an engine with an ECU.
It does not have a transmission attached to it unless they state it does.

Either way, it will not matter, as the "engine" is the same no matter what Transmission is attached to it.

BTW the ECU is teh same for manual or Automatic, the AUtomatics have a seperate TCU that controls the AutoTranny
