When you call a parts place or the dealer to get something for your engine, do you tell them your car is an Accent, or do you say its an Elantra or Tiburon? I found that its much easier to just say you have one of the other two than an Accent, unless its an actual part for the Accent chassis. Otherwise you have to go into the whole conversation of how you have an Accent, but dropped a Tib/Elantra engine/tranny in it.

that still messes me up, even two years later. they ask the wrong question "what car is it?" not "what engine is it?" lol the worst is if its from the dealership. they'll ask for a VIN number or motor code and I always forget it.

I had the same problem at the dealership but now thay know me and know that I know the correct part numbers. Point is get to know the parts people and thay get to know you
