I have a few questions about swapping the 1.8 beta ecu and intake cam into my 2000 Elantra 2.0.
I searched about this swap, but I failed to find much info about it.
How does it effect hp, low end power, powerband, drivability? ect
Any dyno sheets?

i have seen 1.8 cams fitted into 2.0 for lil extra power.
The 1.8 and 2.0 will have similar fuel tables and the Narrow band sensor should be able to handle any minor air to fuel changes as long as wiring is the same. You should be ok.

The cam yes. you will get more power. You can also use the "GT cam" from a non-cvvt beta 2 engine wich gives you a little extra power. From back in the rdtiburon.com days, there were people that experimented with the ECU with no real data as to whether or not it worked if I remember. you DO NOT need the ECU
the "GT cam" can be purchased on kspec.com

Not really. the intake cam is more aggressive in the beta 2. so essentially you would be taking out a more agressive cam and reducing your power. The beta 2 makes less horsepower with a more aggressive cam than the beta 1 with stock cams. which points toward my opinion that the beta 1 is a better engine

Thats what I mean. they put a more agressive cam in the beta 2 to get the same power as the beta 1. can't be much clearer than that. so if you take that more aggressive cam out of the beta 2 and put it in a beta 1 you will gain horsepower. Not a complicated process to grasp

I recieved payment for that. the beta 1 has 134 hp..huh? sounds like the beta 2. unless you have the super eco tree hugger version and then you lose 2 more hp. the fact is...more agressive cam equals same output. that fact cant be argued. sorry
(hyundai listed the beta 1 as 140hp, not the real figure of 134. I got compensation for it. I read all the paper work. your arguement doesnt hold weight)
