Are you getting better at drifting around corners?

This is my first RWD car and Im learning VERY slowly (in empty parking lots) how to drift my car into corners. Its alot harder than it looks and it may take me a long time to figure it out all the way, but has anyone here been able to perfect any drift techniques?

yeah, the more I wear out my rear tires the easier it is for me to swing my ass around. j/k

There are a few people who do pretty well at drift events in their Genesis

this is not my video

Its winter, right? Why not practise in the snow? That way everything moves much slower and all you can hit is a snow bank.

Snow is a good time to learn the basics of control.

I don't have a functioning RWD vehicle right now, but greatly look forward to doing some more drifting as soon as that changes.

Want to learn how to control ass sliding around... get a Nissan p/u (old little one) with shitty tires and drive in the rain/snow. That little truck taught me a lot about driving. b*tchyiest 5spd ever and it would bring its ass around for the hell of it.

One of my friends can swing his Lexus ES300 around corners like it was a RWD car, didn't pay attention enough when I was visiting him to see his technique.

I have tried to swing my Tib around, but she's stuck on rails... taking intersections at close to 50 and she's just "there"...

Oh jeebus. From my meagre experience with getting FWD sideways, I find that getting the engine under lots of compression braking, and also braking to aid in weight transfer off the rear wheels, really helps. That and a mini scandinavian flick.

My beta LC just doesn't like getting sideways though, quite the opposite of my old X3. Different weight distribution and cable setup I guess.
